Baxanekhwe Safaris is a mobile-tented safariowned by a professional guide with 30+ years’ experience Teko Mbwe Ketlogetsweand his wife Tshwarry Ketlogetswe who also have experience in tourism inindustry as she worked with different safari companies and lodges before. Withtheir experience, knowledge and love for the industry they decided to share thiswith more people around the world and have their own safari business.Baxanekhwe is based in the heart of Okavango, in a place called Maun,Botswana.  After registering with CIPA in2013, we went on an acquire tourism licence in 2016 and that’s when we startedoperating in 2017.

The meaning behind the pictures in our logo is all about live in the Delta. The animal is called sitatunga (Naako), sitatunga is an antelope that lives in the Delta mostly in places that are surrounded by termites and green leafy grass (bullrush). They are rare species of antelope since they are only found in the deep places and reeds in the water.

Thisname come from one of the common tribes found in the Delta called Basarwa alsoknown as Khoisan. This tribe is known of using a lot Of ‘X’ letter in theirwords. Baxanekhwe simply means river bushman.

Allin all this company is the root and the eyes of the well-known Okavango Delta.The name and the logo it's all about the things that are found deep in theDelta.

We invite you to come and join us to explore and experience the beauty and natural creation of our motherland Botswana full of love and wildlife. We offer you camping moments and experiences in the wilderness with professional staff and we give you the best tour lead by a professional guide. 

We cover variety of tourism attraction destinations around Botswana since our safari is a mobile safari. We move from one place to another during the trips using our 4x4 game drive cruisers with inbuilt seats inside and using tents as accommodation. Places that we cover are: Central Kalahari, Nxai pan, Makgadikgadi Pan, Moremi game reserve, Qhwai community development trust, Chobe national park (Savuti), Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR) and the Okavango Delta.
